KEN ARQUELIO, of Puerto Rican descent, is a director, actor, screenwriter and producer.
DISCO BEATS, a short film he directed/wrote and acted opposite Pepe Serna that was awarded BEST US SHORT FILM at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF SHORTS) in Nov/2025, BEST NARRATIVE SHORT FILM at the Arizona International Film Festival in April/2025 and EMERGING FILMMAKER AWARD at the Prescott Film Festival in July/2025. DISCO BEATS is currently on the film festival circuit and has been chosen for the Arizona International Film Festival, Pasadena International Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival in April/2025. And USA Film Festival and South Beach Film Festival in May/2025. After creating, writing and producing a television pilot called DESERT RATS, he was awarded producing fellowships for the PGA Create program and with NALIP (National Association of Latino Independent Producers).
As an actor, he most recently played a supporting role in CASA GRANDE-THE MOVIE starring Lou Diamond Phillips produced by ESX Entertainment slated for a 2026 release, and in CLOWNSPIRACY, a horror film due to be released on YouTube TV in 2025, and played a starring role in an award-winning short film called A Butterfly Vanishes. The film was directed by his writing and producing partner, Juan Pablo Arias Muñoz, a Chilean filmmaker who was one of the winners of the 2020 HBOAccess directing fellowship. A theatrically trained actor, Ken originated the lead roles in stage productions of Infinite Black Suitcase by EM Lewis and Resurrection of the Ants by Mike Fontana. He also produced and starred in the West Coast debuts of The Dying Gaul and References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot.
Ken is the founding member of VINCERO PICTURES, a production company based in Palm Springs, and is currently writing and developing other television pilots and feature films.
